At the foot of the Catskill Mountains, in the beautiful Hudson Valley, you can experience one of the most magical waterfalls in Greene County. Nestled in the hamlet of Purling, the clear, cool waters of the Shinglekill have drawn visitors since the early 1800's. Hidden among the trees, perched high atop a cliff, sits Tumblin' Falls House. Fall asleep to the soothing sounds of her gentle waters. Wake up to a wonderful country breakfast served on the front porch overlooking the falls. |

...The road to Shinglekill
Falls first brought settlers to a grist mill built in 1788. Now, on one
side of the falls, it brings us to an antique store built around the disassembled
grist mill and, on the other, to a bed and breakfast (Tumblin' Falls House)
